get low on fuel, i mean really low 20 miles to empty, the gas guage turns RED!!!



evidently any guage in warning condition will change color, with the IUP/mycolor anyway

 

I think the big deal about running gas low is the pump located in the tank, which I believe requires the gas for lubrication. I've helped replace these type pumps for others and they are a pain and expensive.
So the warning is prolly dual purpose.

 

Yeah 05GT - I did notice that as well. I had read about it then forgot and one time when running low on gas - the entire gauge lights up red - pretty noticable too!

 

Anyone know what it will do if your gauge color is already red? Will it change at all?
