Are you talking about Jim D'Amore- the tuner and drag racer? He's in MM&ff's quite a bit. Always seems to be on the cutting edge of technology. One of the more well-known people in the business.

 

JDM is an awesome company they are all about performance. They mainly work on Lightnings and cobras but will do work on other fords. I went there to get some moderate work done on my F-150 I had before the mustang. I highly recommend them.

spoke to these guys at JDM today and from what they tell me and from what i've read these guys are installing my upgrades.

 

Jim, Anthony and Sue at JDM helped me get my 2000 Lightning into the low 12's. I would highly recommend them. However, for a tune, it is best of you take the car to them. They can provide you with a mail-order tune/reflash, but Jim is always going to err on the side of safety (i.e. air/fuel will run on the rich side). If he tunes it on his dyno, he can probably squeeze a lot more out of it.

 

Jim (owner of JDM Engineering) is very knowledgable when it comes to Ford tuning. I would highly recommend him, if you are thinking of having your car tuned by him. I was fortunate enough to meet him on his last trip out to California. He tuned some Lightnings and Cobras at a local shop here. His tuned allowed my buddy to get his 03 Cobra to run in the 9.90s. Before Jim's tune, the car suffered from a severe lean condition and was stuck in the 10.20s. He has a reputation for getting awesome power numbers, and retaining driveability. BTW he uses SCT products exclusively.
