I don't care who made them, no mufflers are worth 770.00.

Corsa sells mufflers for close to that. The tips looks like Borlas though.

I didn't think of Corsa's, so that's also a very good possibility as well.

I couldn't have said it any better myself, as you can purchase the entire Pypes mid muffler system, for far less than $770.00

I saw a GT500 here in the Detroit area today with what I think were these mufflers. At least the tips looked identical. It sounded much better then stock. Seeing that the part number ends in SVT are they only intended for the GT500?

Well if they are intended for the GT500 and knowing Ford that explains the price!

Well if that's the case ? then Ford can keep them, as far as I'm concerned..

I have now tried pretty much most of the good axlebacks out there. Borla is the only way to go. Bassanni was bad ***, comp cats and all, just too raspy for me. The ford racing were nice, just dont seem as low as these I just recently got. The supremes/gta's were nice looking just a hair louder than stock. Back to the real Borlas and it is the smoothest lowest deep tone I have heard from all the different ones I have tried, yes a little drone when your stomping on it around the city. On the highway they just purr. Car sounds sweet. I think I have found my axlebacks finally. I know ford racing are supposed to be the same but I definitely noticed some differences in sound. Good luck

Do you mean the Bola/stingers sound the best? or a different bola axle-back?

I think he means the Borla stingers. I had a set of those and sold them for the GTA's and now just purchased the FRPP stingers because I feel that the GTA's are alittle too quiet. I wish I had never gotten rid of the Borlas and I'm anxious to see if I can tell the difference between the Borla's and the FRPP's.

I know your in Cali....but you should have went offroad. That is what it takes to wake up those GTA's. Your ears will be ringing again.

You know Scott with the 4:10's they were fine, but with the 3.55's you might be right! The drone zone seems to be about 1800 to 2000 rpm's and that's where I'm at with the 3.55's. I guess I'll just have to go back to the 4.10's again if I can't stand it.

Money much better spent towards a set of longtubes with actual RWHP gains.

+1

I also had the GTAs and just swapped them for the Stingers (Borla brand), and it was night and day difference. The GTAs were simply too quiet for me. There's some drone around 2k, but it's a small price to pay for that awesome sound, and easy to drive around with a manual transmission.

Where's the least expensive place to pick up the Borla/FRPP Stingers?

I'd like to know also. I think ninosport looks like a good muffler place.

I'm not sure which axleback set to get yet. I had all but made up my mind about the GTAs but I don't want to regret not getting something loud enough.

I'm thinking GTA's, Bassani street, or the Stingers.

The car is a daily driver. Mostly highway and interstate. 3.55 5spd.
