The prices on some of this cars are getting waaaaaaay out of control. Go buy a brand new Mustang GT, F-150, motocycle(your choice) and still have about 10 grand left for fun...

Some one posted this car already but not as much info.
I would think that the 60k would also account for all the options that are not listed. Wheels, suspension and all.

Very cool car but way to much money.

Thanks for the post.

Not just a regular 427. It's a SOHC motor, and it's that valuable to the right person.

Not to mention illegal. There is no way those two Holley 4bbls will pass smog. Looks pretty awesome though.

it's called a collectors item, have you never heard of that? Calling folks names just because they buy a collectors item (which is only a mear 3 times the price of the non collectors!) Why would someone pay thousands of dollars for a stamp that you can buy another stamp for 37 cents?

Not saying I'd put down that kind of money for a mustang, but there *are* things that I collect, (albeit at much much lower price tags than that car!) and I resent the name calling.

the $60k 427 is a tad far fetched except that its a 427 SOHC motor, ultra rare.

still wouldnt buy it

No body insulted you, why are you crying about it? I agree with the statement that whoever would buy this car, or a GT500 for $75K for that matter, is a schmuck too; get over it.

I'm not buthurt about it, just think it's not right to knock other folks for their taste (or lack of?) in what they choose to spend their money on. It's their money, let them do what they want with it. Maybe Ford will put it to good use. Thats it

If someone wants to buy it for tht price it must mean something to "them" however isn't it a big gamble that the care with that engine will be worth more? I mean yea, most of us wouldn't pay $75k for a GT500 but if I had the money and was looking for one as a "collector" item and not an everyday driver I might. I think there is a good chance a GT500 will be worth $75k down, down the road when CS is totally immortalized.

Well you can look at it this way.........

With most dealers selling GT500s for way, way over sticker, maybe less of them will sell than they would at sticker. That in turn will make them more valueable, IF the car is well maintained for, like, the next 30+ years. Kinda like the original Shelby's are very valueable now- 40 years after they were made.

Me though? If I'm gonna spend that much cash on a car, I'm going to drive it, wash it, occasionally live & sleep in it, etc.
