Anyone elses intake whistle?
It's kind of annoying and sounds pretty ricey....
I started driving with the windows down lately (pretty much have been up since the CAI install and the weather got colder) and when I step on the gas I can hear the intake sucking air / whistleing when I initially step on the gas, after that it can't be heard over the rest of the car....
I rechecked the install and it's good, no loose clamps etc...
Almost makes me sound like a ricer....

No whistle here. I am running a C & L intake and it definitely louder than stock but sounds more like a roar than whistle. Don't have holes in the intake for vaccum lines unplugged that could be sucking air do you?

I'm running the C&L Street CAI. When I punch it or do a rev sitting still I can definitely hear it pulling in air! No whistle!.... but I haven't done it around any hot chick's either It may whistle around the right woman!

i hear a whistle on mine but it is mainly the intake sucking in the air, i had the same problem on my old V6 but even worse, no matter what i did you could hear the thing sucking in air like there was no tomorrow even during idle

Yes, The sucking sound can be best described as a SHHHHH, or a SSSHHH. I can not hear it when I'm actually driving though, only at a stop with the windows down. My Flows must be drowning the sound out. I notice that it'll do it when I shut the car off as well. It's like one final gasp for air...

Cant say that I've noticed any whistling sounds, I usually go over all my hose connections and also check around the MAF area's every month or so to make sure there's no air or vacuum leaks around any of the seals..
