Anyone done the Whipple on an automatic yet???????
#22
ive had my whipple installed since october. I love it. I got 390 rwhp running 4lbs of boost with the 6lb pulley. I couldnt get the full 6lbs of boost with the 6lb pulley because of my full exhaust so I put on an 8lb pulley and can get about 6lbs of boost. I havent dynoed it since the new pulley. I think I am going to put some high flow cats on due to the noise. My exhaust starts to get loud and dirty at about 2500rpm and I am not even going that fast. It's starting to drive me nuts. Once I quiet my exhaust down I will be able to have more fun with it cause I wont be attracting so much attention around town. Some pics are here....

because its a brand new year car and all aftermarket companies are like that. they will see how much they can get for the kits since the cars are new and the demand for a supercharger is sweeping people like crazy.
take a look at a s/c kit for a 95 Mustang GT (for example Vortech), I bet the kit is half as much as the kit for the 05 Mustang kit, nonintercooled or intercooled. I bet back in 95 when the kit came out, it was about the same price as the 05+ mustang kit.
thats just the way aftermarket companies run.
