Just wondering if any with pulleys has had any negative side-effects (now that people have had them installed fro a while) or if anyone has any new reason why I should not get a set. I do have an aftermarket stereo but it is only pushing 580W RMS and I don't crank it that often.

Thanks

I can't think of any reasons. I have had my pulleys for over a year now... no issues at all. I say go for it.

Unless you've already gotten a CAI I would say that it is both more effective for gaining power and less likely to void your engine warranty. The JLT II is recommended.

I already have a CAI, DTP Tune and 4.10 gears. So pulleys were next on my list.

Nothing I can think of. You will be running a little more hot, but not to the point where you should worry. I did it and wouldn't have a problem doing it again.

Add in the electric h2o pump at the same time.

If you ever plan to get a SC then the pullies will be obselete, but other than that no problem.

These too will be my next mod.

Since the UD crank pulley has a harmonic balancer on it, I can't see any long run issues with these. In the past I've seen many UPD's that exclude a harmonic balancer on the crank pulley (think imports). That is just a disaster waiting to happen.

So wheres the best place to get the Steeda Pulleys?

You would be better off with just an eH20, unless youre going for every last hp.

I agree. Steeda answered all my questions on the install. They said make sure you get your torque right on the main pulley. "better to have a little too much than not enought, which often happends".
Get a torque wrench and do it right.

BTW, in changing the bolt on the alternator.....a tip on getting the stud out easier. break the nut loose and take the other nut off the other stud (the one at 7 o clock relative to the alternator) and make it a jam nut with the other and the stud comes right out....be sure to put it back on however.

Make a note of your belt routing before you start.

all i did was get a 5mm or 4mm whatever fit on the stud and removed it

Here is a good writeup, just ignore the idler pulley, he used another brand

Other than the reduction in water flow, probably not.

Can highly recommend the Steeda UDP's and the Meizere electric waterpump. Very good mods when coupled together. Made a big difference in how quick the engine revs and SOP also tells me it was worth the money. Been running this combo for 8 months with absolutely " no issues".
