Question Any one got the FRPP headers??

Has anyone tried the FRPP headers . How do you like them and how much did they add to performance? I wish I could find a set of headers that would bolt right up....ie not have to change this out our disconnect that.

I have heard that the JBA's are good, but some mods are required to run them.

Thanks

I had a set of FRPP headers on order a couple weeks back, and the performance division of the dealership I bought my Mustang from, gave me a call the other day to let me know they have arrived. I'll be picking them up today (Tuesday) and aiming for Thursay or Friday for my mechanic to install. I'll repost when they're on.

Hi there

I'd too like to find a set of LT headers with mid-pipe that are easy to fit and add great power gains.

I installed the ceramic FRPP headers last winter. It took about 4 hours in my garage and they bolted on perfectly. I followed the instruction sheet sent with them and it was easy. As for the performance gain it was hard to tell as I installed the FRPP mufflers at the same time. Between those two mods it sure made the car sound sweet and definitly a little more kick. I would say I gained as much from them as I did the CAI and tuner I installed later.

O.K. I just had the FRPP headers installed today. Along with my Pypes O/R H Pipe and JBA Evol's, I must say it sounds awesome. I was told that with the headers installed, the average HP gain was 10 per side for 20 extra HP. It sure feels like it has a little more kick and pep through the gears. I'm glad I bought them. I'm definately gonna swap out my Evol's for my LM's just to hear the difference. I know I'll be in for something insanely loud.

I have the FRPP ceramic shorties. They went in fairly easy, less than 3 hours. They have a little more growl, but can't say they added much to the power equation. I think most tests show 3-5 hp. With the FRPP (Borla) Stingers added, maybe the two are worth 10 hp, but the sound is awsome, if a tad loud, especially when you really get on it.

FRPP, do you have to disconnect the oil filler tube and steering linkage?

Yes you have to remove and reinstall the dip stick and steering linkage. I also removed the starter on the passenger side to make it a little easier. Not hard to do.
