Any benefit of adding Bullitt shocks and springs to an '08 GT?

I was wondering, is there a benefit if I were to swap the stock GT springs and shocks with those from a Bullitt. Would there be any "performance" difference over the stock GT suspension? I don't road course the car at all. The ride would be slightly lowered, wouldn't it? The only reason I'm asking/considering this is because I know someone who is going to be taking these parts off his Bullitt and I could get them really cheap.

Not worth it even if it is cheap. You are better off leaving it alone if you are not driving it aggressively. Do it once and do it right.

Darn it! I could get this stuff for around $100. I was hoping it'd be worth it. At least to lower it a little bit. I guess not. Thanks for the input.

The Bullitt handles firmer than a GT but less firm than a Shelby GT. The Bullitt's rear springs were only lowered 6mm (I think to allow for not having the weight of a spare tire).

Also, there is some discrepancy on Bullitt springs. Check the door tag. Those that were most happy with the handling on two lane twisties have spring codes GGAA. Some have different codes and some of those complain of a spongy ride.

$100 is pretty cheap but you're not going to notice any lowering. But the Bullitt handles great on the curves!

Don't do it. The springs are just some of the shorter GT production springs. And the shocks are IMHO worse for control (though a big better riding) than stock GT dampers. But you can get better ride AND better control with aftermarket shocks/struts.

Save your $100 and put it toward something better.
