Anti-Evoulution Perfomance!!

I have to say that I have turned Anti-Evoulution Performance!! I am by no means knocking anyone there on a personal level, I am just saying that their service sucks. I was going to get some stuff done there on my stang and everytime I called to ask questions, I was treated like a bother. Like I was wasting their time because I wasn't dropping 20 grand in one shot. I'm sure that there are some people around here that have had great expierences there and i'm sure that they know their stuff. I shopped around and found another speed shop and all the stuff I wanted done, they did for 500 cheaper, and the service was outstanding. I had an appointment to bring in the car to evoulution and when I didn't show up and went to the other place, evo didn't even call to see where I was. It's been 3 days now and I still haven't heard anything from them. Guess my measly 2,800 wasn't good enough for them. From what i've been reading on these forums, it also seems like their tunes suck as well. Since alot of people have been going to Bama and other guys to overwrite their evo tunes. I'm curious if anyone else has had these same kind of problems with them or is it just me?

I've had no experience with this company but I'm curious what they were going to do for your $2800??

I know nothing about the shop, but if you flaked out on them, why would you expect them to call you?

The point is they don't know I flaked out on them, they just haven't called at all. They have no idea what I did.

I know the shop. They are right in Aston. I work about 2 miles from there. I talked to them before. They're asses. They think they know everything, they only want to sell you what they like..... According to them "everyone elses tunes suck" When I called I was asking about getting dyno'd. The first thing he said was "I only dyno - tune here. I won't waste my time putting someone elses tune on my dyno. My tune is the best on out there" OK- click. I drive by there all the time and I really don't see all that much action there. They have a pretty quick Saleen and a new GT500, but bad business sense.

I'm getting a Saleen blower from JDM Engineering in Freehold. They are by far the BEST around. Good prices.....great service...and they return phone calls I highly reccomend them.

You didn't show up for a scheduled appointment. Sounds like you flaked on them.

I went back and read up on the shop. I didn't read anything bad about them.

Usually shop's that care about your buisness will call to make sure that everything is ok or whatever. It's called treating the customer like they are just as important as the next. If I was planning 10 or 15 grand worth of work , I guarantee they would have called. Do you see what i'm saying here?

No comments on Evo.
But it is common in the business to call customers that missed appointments. We do. Then we call later after service is performed to make sure you were happy.

I had a 91 octane tune from them that was making my engine ping under load, I attempted to contact Evo in the past and never got any replies. It seemed like once he got my money he was done with me. I got a tune from Bamachips and his customer service has been great, and the tune is second to none.

Aren't they the ones with the fastest GT500 around? The black and tungsten one? I've heard excellent stuff about them regarding their work on GT500's. Hey RubberEater come to Wichita Falls, Texas, and my friend and I will do all that work for you for a lot cheaper. Drastic request seeing how you're nowhere close but, we could do all that way cheaper. The only part we couldn't do is the tune unless you have an Xcal 2 and realeased the rights to my buddy to use his pro racer package on it. That seems way high on the price for that kind of work. I've seen supercharger installs go for cheaper than that. All that work minus the dyno time and tune, shouldn't take more thank a few hours. Hell we did just about all that same stuff to my car in a night AND we did headers. If they are being like that though I'd go elsewhere.

I've talked to them on the phone, they are asses.

I called them to get quoted on a s/c install and they kept insisting on me getting the Kenne Bell or the Saleen kit and I kept telling them that I did not want either one of those kits. and told me that I was making a big mistake and my motor wont last

and of course they smurked and asked me why dont i want the KB or the saleen?

and I told them that I got a blower and all I want is for it to be installed, with much grudge in their verbal tone they quoted me a butt raping 1800 to install plus 500 dyno tuning.

i would never deal with them or call them again

too bad from what I heard Evo didn't even tune that so called "fastest GT500". They just took credit for it, when really an SCT represenative came from the company and tuned the car. typical

We're the shop that Rubber Eater ended up going to. He was a real personable guy, and we saw no reason not to give him the best service we could. He was serious when he called and asked for a price on the JLT or C&L intake, and tune, and within an hour was standing in front of our counter. He paid in full, and had a very flexible schedule for the install. Any shop that didn't have time for him lost a great customer, because everything went 100% smooth on our end.

He ended up with a nice setup. We did the Hurst Competition Shifter, with the JLT CAI and SCT xCAL2 Custom Tune. We threw on the UPR Off-road X-pipe and Pypes Axle-back with Street-pro Mufflers. Tinted the car, and installed the steeda underdrive pulleys. Finishing touch, we threw in some Nokya bulbs in the low beams and foglights for Delaware County's notorious deer population.

Originally we had talked about the BBK throttle body, but after install the car went into failsafe mode and wouldn't idle, or accelerate. We reinstalled the stock throttle body and retuned. He was more than patient with the throttle body mis-hap, and we stayed working until 8PM to clear it up for him.

Every customer deserves the same service, let alone the time of day. I won't mention any names, but I'm glad he came to us. We'll be happy to help any of you out. Give us a try! You can call and talk to C.R., I can try and do my best to get you the best price in the area.

We're located in downtown Aston, PA. We're about 10 mins from Philadelphia, and 10 minutes from Wilmington, DE. 2 Minutes off I-95.

Please Tillman, if you have the pictures post away, I really appreciated the kind service and help that everyone has treated me with. It is going to be a pleasure to have all of my work done there and go through this process together. I am so happy to hear that it is not just me with evoulution. The Kenne bell push is a classic. If they opened up their narrow mind they would see that if they are after HP, ala their Gt500, they would see that the KB SC is not the way to go. They don't realize that everyone doesn't want what they want. Most people do the research on their own. Not everybody that walks in should be treated like they don't know what they're talkin' about. I told the guys at Tillman that my car will be the Anti-Evoulution Performance mustang since that is what they pride themselves on. I wear the Tillman logo on my windshield brow with pride and will revel in it every time I roll by evoulution and light em up

Tillman - welcome aboard!
With a post like that, you get instant recommendations from me for people that live in that area....

Rubbereater - REALLY glad things worked out for you - looks like you found a GREAT shop you can depend on - a rare thing today!

Some shops get SO wrapped up in what they are doing to their own car or close friends of theirs, folks who could be new regular customers fall by the wayside.......

That's exactly why I would never steer anyone to BBR down here in FL.......
(we learn the hard way)
