I sent an email to accufab and this is what I got as a reply and hopefully they will keep me updated.

"At first, we weren't going to do one for the 2005, but now it looks like we are, to go along with a new intake manifold too."

I am hoping to see some results from them on the manifold!

But I wouldnt cross my fingers. This is what I sent in reply.

"Thanks for the fast reply. So you are looking at and intake mannifold also??? I am part of a mustang forum that has mostly 05’ mustangs and the guys will be very interested in hearing about new products for their 05’ mustangs. The web site is www.TheMustangSource.com. I know your product very well and was hoping that you would come out with something for the 05’s. At the moment motoblue, bbk, MMR are the only companies that I know of making a throttle body for the 05’s. Im sure that you are well aware of the companies that are making these products. Keep me up to date on the current stats on the new intake manifold and the potential gains. I might have 20+ buyers for that if the gains are good. So far the MMR Throttle Body is showing 15+ RWHP for a Dual 62mm Throttle body and we have a group buy for that @ 375.00 for a 20+ group of purchasers. But I know the reputation of Accufab and I will back your product. Hope to hear back from you soon.

Thanks,

Robert Fattaruso."

I have read about the different throttle bodies, and how they say "no tune required", but from the experience of the CAI, they can def. benefit from one, and I would assume the same about a new manifold? I would think it needs a tune, and I am not even sure what kind of gains a new manifold would get, but I guess we will see soon.

yeah I hoping to see some good gains if they get one made sometime soon. But most gains are maximised with a tune. Its because of the new operating platform that the car uses. Its not like the old EEC-IV computers where they learned when you added something. These have to be manipulated but power gains are huge. You have more control over everything. You dont have to tune, but you wont reap all the benifits of that new throttle body, CAI, Intake Manifold etc... But the whole thing is how much power is Accufab going to get vs. all the other companies and the fact that they are designing an intake MANIFOLD for our cars too is awsome.
