Another new best to end the season!

Went down to Cecil today to try and get a few more passes in before the season it out. It was cold and overcast but the track had decent bite when we go there.

First pass

1.78 60 foot
12.308@110

Within .008 of my best ever with a slower 60 foot time. I knew .20s were possible

Next pass
1.71 60 foot
12.305@110

UGH 60 foot was better but the car backfired on the 1-2 shift and it slowed me a bit. I was starting to think 12.30s were all I was going to see.

Next race I was up against my friend Bob in his low 12 sec turbo 2007 V6 Mustang. He had run back to back 12.0s so I knew he had me covered but it would be a race.

Nailed the tree with a .008 light and launched at 5000 rpms
1.69 60 foot
12.239@110.81!!!!!

I am THRILLED with that time! You could not wipe the smile off my the rest of the day. I tried one more pass with a 6000 rpm launch but it blew the tires off so I aborted the run.

Should have a video of the run up later tonight

Wow! Nice runs! Looking at your other threads, you've a very lightly modded GT too. gears, driveshaft, control arms, intake, exhaust, tune, and sticky tires.... You sure you don't have nitrous hidden in there?

Looks like you had a good finish to the day too... he was starting to pull on you in the last 1/8th. Can't wait for the video!

Great runs! These cars love mineshaft air. How's your clutch holding out?

Congrats on the new best Bill. Hope you beat the snow going home - I know I ran into a few good squalls coming home from Atco Saturday.

Thankfully we left early and made it home before anything started. Cecil was dead so we got plenty of passes in and were only there for a few hours. About 2 hours after I got home the snow came but the car was safely away in the garage by that point.
