Thought about that.. S/C wise, should I go with Whipple or Kenne Bell? Or if not what pro charger?

Screw centrifugal chargers... I like the old school twin screw/roots design. I say Kenne and Whipple are neck and neck on my favorite list. But I love the high whine of the KB.

I like the centrifugal. They have their advantages. Just not that instant and constant boost. Would love to do a 99 or 01 cobra with a vortec kit.

They just make the engine bay look cluttered... I can't stand the look of them. Keep the hood down then I'm ok

Yeah they don't look good under the hood. But no heat soak and less low end hp so launches from a dig are easier.

Unlike what texastboneking says I don't think there is anything wrong with a centrifugal. I don't go for the bull of the underhood clutter imo it will look all business. The underhood is cluttered anyways, yeah a screw/roots might have less clutter but it's all apples and oranges.

I would in a heartbeat drop a P1SC procharger in it and a tune, there is your rwhp goals. slap in some gears a set of long tubes, hi flow mid pipe and cat back and you will be soundly in the 480ish rwhp still safe for stock long block imo @ no more than 10psi of boost.

If a kenny is what you are leaning towards then look at the 2.6. same deal tune, gears and then exhaust.

I personally like a clean underhood. I go to car shows every Saturday and I want a neat, not to cluttered enginebay. Does it put out power? Sure, I just don't like the look

Don't read to much into it. To each his own. I go to shows also and can respect a clean bay but a nice polished centi is kick **** also. Maybe it just looks more cluttered in the newer stuff but my buddy Dave has sick 347 with a vortech that is

take a look..

seems show worthy to me and has been a feature car in 3 mags.

The old 5.0 isn't as bad. But you can't doubt that a twin screw isn't a cleaner look than a centri. Hands down
