Another Exhaust Topic

Well I recently purchases a 08 GT vert with a Roush supercharger installed and I would like to purchase an axel back exhaust system for the car. I have been looking at all the posts and I think that I'm between Corsa and Borla / FRPP Stingers. I want a exhaust that will give the muscle car sound but I really want to be carefull of the drone because it's a vert and my wife is planinng on driving the car some. Please help me with the decission and also point me to where I can purchase for the lowest price.

Thank You,
Allen

You kind of picked two completely opposite sides of the exhaust spectrum. The corsas will be nice because their wont be any "drone". As well, you'll have some nice sound to them because of the supercharger pushing quite a bit of extra air through. The stingers will be a little obnoxious with a supercharger, and if you ever decide to put on long tubes, etc that will really make them ridiculous.

I can do the Corsas for $749.95 shipped to the door.
I can do the FRPP/Stingers for $529.95 shipped to the door.

You may also want to consider the Magnaflow's which sound GREAT in my honest opinion. Not the Race mufflers (magnapacks), but Magnaflow's case-style "street" mufflers. They have a GREAT tone, and with the supercharger will sound NASTY!

I can do the Magnaflow for $399.95, and the Magnapacks for $539.99 shipped.

Tom281 did a comparison on these two, it should come up if you search borla v.s. corsa. That video made me pull the trigger on my X-pipe to.

Hey Tillman, tell me the Magnaflows do not drone on the GT automatics and we may be doing business.

I have had people suggust the SLP or boomtubes on other forums but everything that I read is that they are very loud on the inside of the car. I'm only worried because the car is a soft top. I want the car to sound mean when you are driving down the road

They don't have any issues with drone. I've installed plenty and driven in one for a few days with no complaints.

I've had the SLP's, FRPP Stingers, and now I'm deciding to go with Bassani exhaust. Bassani has the bass, SLP's were a bit trumpety for me, and the FRPP's are good, but I like the way bassani sounds. As far as drone goes, I really don't notice any if I'm riding around with the windows up. Even if I don't have the radio on. But I don't have a vert and when you roll the windows down, you turn up the exhaust volume.

Well I'm going to either install the Corsa or the Magnaflow on my car along with a short shifter and lowering springs. My question for everyone is the Corsa worth the extra money over the Magnaflow? I just want a good exaust and if it means spending a few hundred dollars more then I guess that I will go that route.

I just order Corsa tonight. I will extra because I don't like the drone issue with other axle-backs.
