Annoying Buzzing Sound In Roush Short Throw Shifter

I've had it with this thing. Early on, I loved it. A bit stiff but I could get used to that. But the buzzing sound it has developed has made me want to switch. The only way I can get it to stop buzzing is gently push down on the **** as I approach the rpm range (2000 to 2500) where it occurs. A Pro 5.0 looks like the one to get, anyone out there no of any deals?

Cheers,
Jon

Get under her, and check your bushing's. Or loosen the rear mount bolts, 10mm, (You'll need a deep socked) and put some padding in under the hole the shifter comes up thru. I found with my Hurst that the rear bushing was a tad narrower than the stock on, thus when I snugged it up, the shifter rubbed on the bottom of the console opening. a little extra gasket arround it, then snugged it up again, and so far, no noise.

Thanks. I'll have a look tomorrow. I was thinking that it was a bad bushing. One question though, if it is a bad bushing and since the one that is directly under the shifter is a stock item, how do I go about replacing it? Is there a part number for it? I know, it's a silly question but I have to ask.
