Amer Racing LT Headers; 1 5/8" or 1 3/4"??

In an attempt to put my next mod order together, I've hit a impass. I can't decide which size AR LT headers I should go with. On one side, I want to choose what will give me the most performance, even if only a little better, since I'm staying N/A (well, until I decide I want to give N2O a try). So that leads me toward the larger 1 3/4".

On the other hand, I plan on attempting the install myself, on ramps/stands, in my garage. Time is not a concern, I can go w/o the car for days if need be. So that leads me toward the smaller 1 5/8" size, because I ASSUME they fit easier.

Any experience, thoughts, comments, suggestions on the pros and cons between these 2 sizes?? How much difference is 1/8" gonna make on performance and fitment???

Thanks,
Lowe!

From what I've heard, the 1 5/8 headers will produce more horsepower with an N/A engine. Could be wrong though. Post picks of the install whenever you get them.

The 1 3/4" will be better for cams, or top end mods and nitrous. Will also be better for a supercharger down the road.

The 1 5/8" is great if you're staying N/A, no cams, no nitrous, but want that extra HP gain. It's not NECCESSARY with cams or nitrous, as they'll still run 500x better than with stock manifolds or a shorty setup. However, it will breathe a little better.

Nick @ ARH almost always reccommends the 1.75"

I knew I could count on CR for a reply! Thanks guys.

As for the fit, are the 1.75 more difficult to install than the 1.625, or are the 2 sizes pretty much the same PITA to get in!?
