Aluminum Driveshaft Question

Had a quest driveshaft question. I was gonna get a driveshaft installed in a couple of weeks in my 2008. The car has only 25,000 miles and is still under warrenty till Jan 2011. Where I live I have limited space to store things. Should I save the stock drive shaft? Would there be any reason I would need to put the stocker back on for any kind of warrenty issues. The car has never given me any problems. Just wondering if I should keep the stocker or have the shop junk it for me. Also the fact that I am not sure it will fit on the trunk to bring it home.

I always try and keep all stock parts when upgrading. On some earlier projects I sold some of the stock parts off after upgrading them, and regretted it later for one reason or another. Personally I'd do whatever possible to keep the stock driveshaft, even if it meant wrapping it in plastic and putting it under a couch or something.

It should fit in the car. I was able to get the stock shaft into the trunk of my convertible.

There really shouldn't be any warranty issue though - I didn't have any problem with my dealer with the mods; they even admitted that it stopped the vibration from the stock shaft.
