Just installed my C&L CAI and SCT Xcalibrator from Alternative Auto with their custom tunes for the automatic. I installed the 93 oct. tune OMG!!!! What a difference! The grin has not come off my face yet, the car has awesome throttle response and lays down a nice long chirp grabbing second with the tcs on! Just unreal!

Why didn't you wait for the xcal2? I'm holding out for that.

How many miles do you have on the tune so far? How's the shifting? Is it revving up more now before it shifts part throttle?

Only about 50 miles so far. No, partial throttle shifting seems the same although the the engine seems more responsive and revs easier. Lidio from Alternative Auto hadn't worked with the II yet and I wanted his tune. I read all the posts on CAI and had a hard time believing it could feel like that big a difference but IT does.

 You just had to go an do it, now I want one.

Congradulations, I think you just got the best CAI/Tune for the auto cars. These guys have done a lot of work with the auto....

I think I am going to hold out for the X2 though.....

i talked to them and they are playing dumb about the xcal2. i think that they want to sell all of their xcal 1 before they release their tune on a 2.

Playing dumb does not work for me.

1st if they really do not know about the xcal 2 then I would be a little leary of their tunes...

2nd if they really are just trying to move inventory and are not offering the xcal 2 ( at a higher price ) I would not want to do business with them...

I hope that is not what they are doing, because it would cause me not to do business with them and I think they have created a good tune for the autos....

The same .XRT tune files work with both the Xcal 1 and Xcal 2, most dealers will be offering an upgrade path for Xcal 1 owners. Just FYI

Thats great news, those guys are dedicated to auto R&D.
Someone here got there auto tune from them and it came with a setting for the Precision Industries converter there going to be offering.

Can you tell us if your SCT came with converter setting?

BTW I'm holding out for the SCTII from Alternative Auto..
