All those with Nitto 555's please come in
Hi i was really intersted in getting the BFG KDW2’s...but their sidewalls are to bulky. I then saw the Nitto 555's and its perfect, and the tread is awesome!
I see that a good amount of people have them; and i was just wondering how well they do in the dry and wet? thankyou!!

Well, I had them on my 04 Mach (and they're still in the garage. ) when I got my free tired back in jan. They did very well in Dry weather, and pretty good in wet weather. The new tires I have I would actually give the edge to in wet weather, but thats more a by product of the tread design.
Overall, they are a good tire and a good buy.

I had them on my old Cobra, and really liked them. They are a realitively inexpensive performance tire. They are much better for dry traction than wet.
For both wet and dry traction the Potenza S-03 was the best tire I've ever used, but they tend to be pricey and wear pretty quickly.

got the 555r's on the 03 terminator, and just ordered em for the rear on my 05.
are we talkin bout the 555s or 555r's? I have no input on the 555, but the 555r's are sticky

My reference was to the 555s. They are virtually the same tire, except the R's will only last 10-15k miles because of the softer compound, whereas the street tires should last 20-30K depending on driving habits.
