How long should an aftermarket clutch last (centerforce dual friction)? I drive my car very hard. Just for reference my stock clutch was completly dead at 8,000 miles. I've almost had 30,000 miles on the centerforce and I'm suspecting problems.

Sounds like you answered your own question!...The aftermarket lasted three times as long as the Factory, before you smoked it!

 

I didn't see where you answered your own question, just that you might need a shrink haha. How long that DF clutch holds up depends on how hard you're spanking it. I'd think it should last over 100k miles if you stay away from the track and use street tires. If you visit the track often and use drag radials and are hard on it it could fail at any time.

 

Yeah I'm a little crazy. When the car was on nitrous + drag radials I would launch at 5000 rpms, pretty much dropping the clutch, and spray a 125 shot right off the line. I don't think there is a worse thing you could do for clutch life. We're going to pull the clutch this week and I'll report back.

 

I am on clutch #3 and have 100,000+ miles on my car. im on transmission #2 as well. lol. So sounds about right for clutch time.
