I just looked at Stangnet and they reviewed an AFE intake system. They reference AFE's spec sheet
I went to AFE's website and they document ...slightly different numbers AFE
I also don't see how they can justify a cost of $427.

From Stangnet's main page:
"aFe contacted StangNet about there new complete Cold Air System for the 2005 Mustang. They asked us to get a hands on review of the new system. They told us their system was specifically designed to function without any kind of tune or recalibration of the system. "

AFE has both of those specs on their site, I called and they said that the higher one is correct. I will let you know in a few weeks, hopefully, I already have the AFE (SubZero gave me a good deal on one).

Hey softbatch, any updates? I'm looking for something that doesn't require a tune, but will make the RKSport California Dream Hood functional. The AFE and Ford Racing intakes both say no tune required. I kinda like the box enclosing the AFE filter better, as it might line up with the hood a bit better. I also found it at AutoAnything for $320, free shipping. Better than the $427. Has the filter been worthwhile? How 'bout a report!

Before dynoing I will be going back to stock and the get a baseline, AFE without Tune and AFE after Tune.
Have you seen the post the Doug at Bamachips made about the intakes that didn't need a tune. There was some info on the AFE using 87 in that. I will be doing mine with 93.
