afe CAI Maintenance

Guys, I have had my CAI from afe for about a year now. I just love it. Question: does anyone know when to clean/oil the filter again?

Thanks, Ralph

I have the JLT(S&B) filter. I have an old K&N filter charger... will that work on the S&B filter, or should I get the S&B kit. I hate to waste the K&N kit if I can use it.

I use the k&n all the time. I don't think it will hurt.

I have that aFe CAI also, and I intend to use the K&N cleaner and recharge I have in the garage. But, I'll dig out the instructions for the aFe tomorrow. If they say anything disagreeable, I'll let you know.

You're welcome. I did find the aFe installation instructions in the garage. The two products they show for cleaning and re-oiling look almost identical to the stuff I have left over from the K&N filter I had in my '96 GT. When mine gets a few more miles on it, I'm going to use the K&N stuff.

Thanks Joe.I'll probably buy some stuff from Europe and clean the filter. I guess it won't hurt.
