Actual performance gains between air intakes

What type of hp/torque gains are we talking about when comparing 87 octane dynotuned stock intake setup versus a 87 octane dynotuned aftermarket intake setup (GMS, C&L, JLT, Steeda/FRPP, etc...) with no other mods on a 2005-up GT w/ a manual transmission?

1-10 rwhp?
10-20 rwhp?
20-40 rwhp?

Which is why it's important to compare a dynotuned stock setup with dynotuned aftermarket CAI kits all using the same ignition tables (for 87 or whatever octane, to keep it consistent). I'm pretty sure most of us here will just get a 93 octane tune for their new CAI kit and compare that with the factory setup.

It looks more and more like I'll stick with the stock air box and stock factory tune.

The following article shows that a 91 octane aftermarket tune gained 10 rwhp when used with the stock air intake, and the aftermarket intakes added another 7-18 rwhp(depending on which intake was used), or 17-28 rwhp total.

The gain from an 87 octane aftermarket tune when used with the stock air intake is going to be only about 3-5 rwhp, because just the A/F ratio, and not the timing, can be tweaked.
But couple that same tune with an aftermarket CAI, and you're going to get a gain of 15+/- rwhp.
Plus, the tune also gets rid of that aggravating throttle response lag.

Thank you very much for the link!

I plan to keep the 87 octane timing tables. I've gone the 93 octane route in the past and in retrospect, it is too much trouble for what it is worth.
