This is a topic I've discussed before but it worth mentioning again.
With the 05 GT automatic, there can considerable delay in acceleration. This lag or delay seems to be more noticeable when you're going slow and then you floor it. Instead of an instant acceleration, you get a week acceleration lasting a second or more followed by a strong acceleration.
It really bothers me sometimes because I once was trying to get around some slow car in front of me and I punched it but the car in the adjacent lane got a little too close to my rear because of this lag. In my old 94 GT manual stick, this would not have been a problem.
I've heard this lag can be reduced by a computer flash tune.

I'd like to know more about this too. The one I sat in had about a 1/2 second delay from throttle input to engine reaction. I figure there HAS to be some specific reason for this, maybe TQ management which if I am correct helps inexperienced drivers keep the rears planted, as there is no way it takes the computer that long to perform its function. I understand that SCT has been able to do away with this annoyance. Have they given any definite reason for it to be there in the first place?
