Glad to see I'm not the only one fighting the lemming mentality :P

Anyways, if your oil isn't black it's not really doing it's job.

The pics attached were after my first oil change, at approx 700kms on the ODO. Mini chunks...(excuse the stray golden retriever hair that flew in)

MPG Still Good with 5W30

I put in 5W30 Mobil 1 at my last oil change by accident too. My Mileage is just the same as it was before I didnt see a 1MPG drop though. It's running about 24.8 mpg country driving to and from work. I drive it pretty easy most of the time just putting my foot in it every once in a while. I am going back to the 5W20 Mobil1 next time though. I can use all the MPG I can get!

I'm thinking about using Royal Purple for my next oil change. I called the local parts store and they can order it for $6.98 a quart. Is that the going price out there? Thanks.
