Is $500 a good deal for brand new 05 GT takeoffs?
#1
A guy is going to give me a brand new set taken off an 05 GT at the dealership for $500.
Sound like a good deal? I researched and the stock Pirellis are around $120-$150 for just the rubber.
I am in need of new tires....all 4 are almost slicks and this sounds like a really good deal. Plus I can use two of the rims and mount a set of drag radials.

I would buy it if I had a chance and $500. You can probably sell your old rims (2 or all 4) and even get some money back. One thing to check if you get the Pirelli's or dealership's tire warranty. I would get them even if there is no warranty, but still worth checking.

I say go for it!
Here is what they cost in a store: GT Bullits + Pirellis.

Well I'm not too worried about the warranty. Odds are my warranty for these Pirelli's will be left on the pavement....lol.

Its a good deal, If you want the pirellis again. I picked up just the wheels for 289+85 ship from ebay, to put snow tires on.
The tire is warrantied for manufactor defects in material/workmanship until 2/32 of rubber reguardless if who owns them, or used.
Its unlikely that you would have a warranty issue with these tires anyway.
And like you said "Odds are my warranty for these Pirelli's will be left on the pavement"
Rofl!

Well guys, I picked them up on Friday evening. 4 brand new Bullitt take offs for $500. They have like 4 or 5 more sets if anyone else is interested.
They are all from 05 Roushes and taken off as soon as they got off the truck.
