4.10s=Quieter Car???
Recently I had 4.10s (Ford Racing) installed on my car (450miles on them so far) and since the sound of my car has significantly been reduced; outside the car, inside it is louder but mostly due to the whine of the gears. Has anyone else experienced this or know of why this happened?
(also had H&Rs installed same time)

Assuming you've also got exhaust, the 4.10s may have bumped the RPMs up high enough that you're out of the drone range of your exhaust. That would definitely make the cabin quieter.
How do you like the H&Rs, btw?

every single high ratio gear I have heard whines just a tad at a certain speed, street cars or race cars. Now if they are howling real loud, thats probably not right. Some just might not hear it because of their exhaust, or other car/road noises.
I don't know much about new cars or parts, but from all the oldschool car builders/restorers I have known or worked with, they all tell me high ratio gears will whine a bit.

also I am glad to see that you posted just after 9pm, there was a black GT wrecked by harvest ranch market at the same time as you cross the bridge heading into the ranch.
