4.10s and 3rd gear question

I'm wanting to do 4.10's for my next mod but I'm so impressed with the pull in 3rd gear I have currently, it pulls like a freight train and is usually where I catch my opponent. My question is will I loose that with the 4.10s? My car is a 5spd with stock rear gears currently.

If you like the stock gears, you will LOVE the 4.10s. They will make 5th gear more usable, too. If you plan on adding a supercharger or turbo in the future, I'd recommend 3.73s instead.

Also, DO NOT skimp on the install. Check around and use a reputable shop! Otherwise you may be plagued with gear whine problems. I know from experience.

It will pull even harder in 3rd now. I love my 4.10's, and I'm going to keep them even with the KB going on. Like TopoffGT said 5th gear is great for cruising around town. Red light to red light cruising can be done with ease never having to go above 3rd. Definately go 4.10's.

Love my 4.10s. Traction is a challenge now with the Saleen blower but none the less, love the gears.

4.10s will only make it better.

There's a long, straight, steep hill on my comute. Just where the hill starts a second lane opens up. Going down to 3rd puts the engine right in the sweet spot for blowing by the car in front of me that's doing 55 - 60.

BIG GRIN... mine are being installed in about two weeks. This thread is making me more anxious!

Cannot wait! Glad someone asked the question, makes me feel even better about the decision.
