I have decided on 4:10s and I'm going to order some today. I just am up in the air about which ones to get. I know of the Ford FPRR gears and the Motives. The best I've seen for each is 189.99 for the Ford FPRRs and 139.99 for the Motives.

Are the Motives just as good as the Ford FPRRs? That's what they are claiming.

Would the Ford FPRRs make any differance as far as warranty battles at the service department?

I am in the Bay Area and I am also wondering if anyone here knows a reutable place where I can get them installed.

Brenspeed has some pretty good prices on gears.

no, it's the same 8.8 rear.

4.10's are 4.10's

and I used Astro Performance Gears in mine.

My FPRRs are on the UPS truck, $191.05 delivered. I heard some companies are backordered 2-3 weeks. Last Tuesday these folks had 39 sets in stock.

Why does changing out gears void the warranty?

You might want to check Summit Racing Equipment. They have great prices and free shipping. I have had good luck with US Gears 4:10s in my Chevy truck. But I dont recommend Richmonds. They had a howl at about 50, so I replaced them with the US Gears.

Someone here posted that motion and Ford Racing were the same just different box. I have motion gears. What is your plan about the speedometer being 10 MPH off? Purchase from one of the Mustang Source sponsors and that will help us all. No warranty problems

I know for sure the Predator can fix that easy. And I would suspect the Xcal could too.
