3500 TC INSTALL
So we installed my torque converter today and I just got home after numerous test runs. HOLY S#@% comes to mind from myself and both people that went for a ride. The car is now stupid from the jump and definitely has that old school muscle feel when just driving normal.
Install went very smooth. 2.5 hours and we were done. Spent the rest of the time, checking fluid temps, adding oil, etc.
From a dead stop mashing it, I have to come on/off the gas about four times before getting traction. From break to floorboard is just retarded. I could blow the tire now.
Gotta thank my good bud Scott (70Machowner) and also Brian (fiveohbrian) for spending time talking to me about all the details regarding the TC's.
Ear to ear grin is what's on my face now.

lol, thanks CDY. Well I did have a buddy of mine who owns a shop do the main part regarding putting the new tc in and pulling it up to the plate, but other than that I helped w the rest. I gave him $300 for the work. Well worth it IMO.
All I want to do is drive my car... Did I also mention it doesnt smoke anymore. wooot wooot

Hey hey Colby. You got that puppy put in fast. Now you going to have to save your money for some new tires. Glad you like the outcome. Now you need to set your sights on that TCI rachet shifter since you shift manual all the time!!

Nice, Colby! Glad that the T/C install went well. I been preaching for years about the benefits of a high stall converter - definitely one of the best bang-for-the-buck mods for our automatics. Like others have said, tires will now be an issue. In the summer months, I run drag radials on the street.

Actually, im not sure how much ill manually shift now. Shifts about 6500 and then only drops to 5000 so im staying in the meat for sure.Tires are gonna be shot fast.
