2nd Gear Downshift..
I have been driving autos for the last 20 years (my '05 GT was an auto). I just bought a '07 GT/CS manual (what a blast to drive). Anyway, it had 2.4 mi on it when i picked it up (last week). It has about 200mi on it now, when i downshift to 2nd i hear (not feel) a little clang, am i doing something wrong in the way i'm driving? or do i have a drive line problem?

Drive line is pretty noisey on these cars. A lot has to do with the throttle hang when up shiffiting, and the back las is getting reversed. Depending on what you are doing a light tap of the throttle during the down shift will smooth the transition between the gears. This NOT a close ratio transmission.

My car does that in the mornings when I shift to 2nd gear, it is normal. Every morning when I drive to work and I go to 2nd gear I get a little clunk/clank. when car warms up that noise is going.
Also my car seems to try to get away from me when I hit the throttle in 1st gear in the mornings.

The driveline and drivetrain is quite noisy on the S-197 GT. The autos don't have as much of a problem since the torque converter is a pretty good dampener.
