boost, fuel pressure, oil pressure or water temperature (if you are using a water/air intercooler)

Which supercharger are you ordering? Boost/vac , fuel pressure and the other one I installed in my car is the Auto Meter DPSS shift light. matches the other gages perfect.

#1-Wideband-expensive gauge but best for monitoring your motor's safety as well as the accuracy of your tune.

#2-Boost/Vac-most fun to watch!

#3-Any of the following:
Fuel pressure (this would be my pick)
Water temp for motor
Water temp for air/water intercooler
Air intake temp
Oil pressure

Anybody know where to find cobalt guagues for cheap. I don't wanna pay $200 for a guage. If not I think i'll just get some Stewert Warner guages. Oh yeah, no ebay. thank's

I had been looking for gauges for a while. The best legit pricing was at egauges.com. They also have pretty much every brand so you can compare. Orders over 200.00 there is no shipping or handling. They ship every Monday also.

You want the 20psi. you will never use over 10psi on the stock block. Maybe 12psi if you like to push your luck.

20psi should be find like addict said.

fuel pressure, get 0-100

I just bought all my gauges and they were cobalt as well.... and yep.. 200 a pop.

expensive, but often the most important part of your setup.

Do you want to trust your nice expensive block/engine to a 30 dollar guage or is it worth 200$ for one you know is quality and works 100% of the time.??

Good gauges are expensive but worth it.

I don't think you'll find one to do that. I think this can be done on a labtop with an X-2 and the right SCT software, but not externally like what you're asking.

What's the difference between a mechanical guage and an electrical guage

A mechanical gauge relies on mechanical pressure to feed the gauge; an electrical gauge uses electrical signals to feed it...... think of it like this:

For fuel pressure, a mechanical guage would require a direct fuel line feed to the gauge. This is fine if you mount the gauge in the engine compartment- but NOT GOOD if you want the gauge inside the car. I would not want a live fuel line ran inside the interior and up on top of the dash, etc. An electric gauge would have a sender unit mounted under the hood, and would send the signal to the gauge inside the car without the fuel line. This is much safer and easier to install.

I think you'll find that electrical gauges cost more $$, but are easier to install and in some cases safer to operate.
