I have the black version of that brace, I can say this, its not a good quality unit. But it does fit just fine. There is allot of slag on the welds.

I can now definitely say that teh OE 2010 strut bar will not fit under the hood of an 05.

P.S. - I have it for sale now ...

Hmmm ... I sold my 2010 Brace on Craiglist to a guy with a 2005. I specifically said in my ad it was up to the buyer to determine if it would fit or not. I haven't heard from him but buy the sound of it I guess it didn't work out for him ..

My question is how much room is there between the strut bar and the engine?

Will it clear a supercharger is what I need to know?

I will be getting a 2.5" cowl hood this summer and if I could get this to clear the SC and fit under the hood I'd be happier than a pig in ****.

Lots of room, no problem. 1 1/2 inches easy.

Want mine?

It would also depend on how wide the charger is, but there was plenty of room.

Honestly I'm willing to give it a shot.

If it doesn't work I could always resell it too.

Give me your postal code, so I can get a shipping rate back across the border. Then I can tell you what my rock bottom is.

Cheers
