Ok Dave....let it go. Respect your elders. :-)

I like the bullit wheels as well. I couldn't justify getting upgraded wheels that remind me of truck wheels...i dunno. Every GT I have seen in person has the upgraded wheels...so mine will be unique. I bet most people who ordered and have them now...are rich folks (in my area) who went in...HAD to have the first one...and got all the options.
Elders!!!...thats a laugh, lolololol

To me its easy, retro car, retro wheels with car, IMO the machine wheels dont do much for the car, to new, to toyota-ish for me... I actually think a set of Cragers or aluminum slots and of course Halibrands would look great on this car, maybe with some raised white letter good rich T/A's. Again for me the bullitts work just fine, except for width, it would be real nice to be able to put some much bigger threads on this car with out having to buy new rims to.
Check out my 60 Vette and you will understand more of the look I like.
I would go as far as to say, if the option wheels were the bullitt rims for an x-tra 200 dollars, and the machine wheels were the standerd equipment...i would pay the 200 bucks..............my personal preferance.

Hey KC, some have said that the knock offs are real easy to, well, knock off. Do you think they will be easy for slime buckets to steal?

Yes They are Very Easy to Steal! To Make them less Vulnerable a Guy Could put A Wood Dowel or Piece of Aluminum Pipe in from Behind! It would Keep the Fingers From Contracting Yet Allow them to Rotate when The Lugs Had to Be Loosenend! Just a Thought!

Looks Like The Bullit Wheel Is the Favorite 3 to 1! I guess ford should Have made them the option! They would have made more Money! TOO BAD! Most of the Dealers in My Area Ordered UPGRADE Wheels on Their Stock Units! Which is cool because it Makes My Bullits Rare at least Here! :w00t:

I can concur Kevin's statement. I have yet to see an 05 Stang (GT or V6) with bullit rims.

Mine will have them though!

A lot of time when a New Car comes That is a Collector type of car the Thinking is I want it Loaded with Every Option! The Base wheel is 3 times as popular as the UPGRADE wheel! You pay More for something 3/4's of the people prefer Less! Yet it is Part of an extra Cost option! But a Lot of People Check Off Every option just because It's Then what they call FULLY LOADED!

I too have ordered a new 2005 GT Black on Black with the stock bullit wheels but found on E-Bay the Real Deal Original New in Box from Ford Motor Co. 95/96 Cobra R 17X9 Chome wheels with the Red Cobra inserts.I think that the little bit of Red will really look shape againstt the black body of the car.The bad part of this is waiting until the End of March when the weather warms up to take delivery on the GT.Hurry up Spring!!!!!!!!!

About the concern of having your knock-offs stolen:

This worked for me, in the past, on Magnum 500 center caps. You can insert a large internal snap ring from the back side on each cap that fits into the crease on the retaining tabs.
