Well I picked up my car today and had to go and put some fuel into it. I swear it took about 5 to 10 minutes to fill 3/4 of the tank. It would not fill fast at all, i had to keep going slow and stop pumping and start again. I know there is a tank problem out there with filling, but my car was built in march and I figured they would have put the new tank in. Does this sound like the problem and have anyone else had this problem with a newer built car?

My first one had this issue and was one of the first built. This last one built February this year did not do this until yesterday. I was a defective vapor recovery nozzle on the pump and not the tank. Not sure if you live in a vapor recovery area but I would try a different station or pump.

I only had that problem the first 2 or 3 times I filled the tank. Since then I haven't had any issues with it slowing down or stopping.

Every once in a while.......when I don't go to the same station for gas, I run into the "Slow" filling  The station where I normally go , has never caused any problem at all.

Sorry I did not notice your UK location the first time around.
Look on the door frame for the build date . You might have one built before the change. Mine was built March this year and is OK. Is your car a left or right hand drive? Over here the sticker is on the left (drivers)door frame.

Hi Eric, Slow fuel fill is a know problem. I only had the problem at my first fill up.
It took about 15 mins. to fill up. Haven't had any problem since.
Ford does have a replacement tank if your problem persists.
There's a lot of info on this site regarding this . Check out the Technical service bullitin sticky.
Enjoy your car it really must be fun to have it in England !
