this might be a dumb question but i was wondering which is the best exhaust setup for performance; catback, x-pipe, h-pipe, straight pipe? this is for my 06 GT daily driver/weekend warrior. thanks for the help guys!

I have Mac Ceramic Longtubes , X-pipe and Magnaflow Mufflers, and I got 10 whp more by going straight pipe( x-pipe sopost to give you 5hp more then h-pipe)

Need recommendations. This past June I installed an E-Force SC on my 05 GT auto along with a Pypes Pype Bomb cat back. Although it sounds great, it is just too loud. Since the car is now more show than a DD, I want to upgrade the entire exhaust to give a classic muscle car sound with no drone. From headers to exhaust. Right now I am looking at JBA long tubes with catted H-pipe and Borla Touring cat back Thoughts?

Finally got around to getting my car over to a muffler shop to have them cut the H crossover section from the stock catted mid-pipe and then install my Mac ProChamber to the stock cats. Prior to adding the OEM cats to the ProChamber and Borla S-type axle-backs, I'd been running the Mac off-road ProChamber setup with the Borlas. Following the re-installation of the OEM cats, I took the car for a long test drive to find out how much different the Borlas would sound when compared to running off-road. During the test drive, I noticed that with the windows down I could still hear the rumble of the Borlas fairly well on acceleration and also hear them gurgling on deceleration fairly well. But with the windows up, the factory cats did absolutely nothing for reducing nor dampening the amount of interior resonance drone I was hearing when compared to running the off-road ProChamber setup. As for loudness reduction goes, IMO by reinstalling the OEM cats reduced the overall volume of the Borla S-types by just 15-20% or by 2-3 decibel levels which really isn't all that bad and can still be heard fairly well from outside the vehicle. However, the interior resonance drone from the S-types has left me with no other choice but to make the switch to the Roush Extreme Cat-back exhaust which has been documented on these forums for producing virtually no interior resonance drone. On a lighter note, I also recently made the switch from Brenspeed to JDM engineering and so far I've been very pleased with my new JDM tune and both Jim Jr. and Nick are very pleasant and comfortable to work with by providing excellent customer service and support as well https://www.s197forum.com/styles/def...es/waytogo.gif
