For those of us still undecided i'm trying to make it a little easier, grouping together sound clips and descriptions.

If you find any clips i've missed please post them and i'll update this post with 'em.

How about some descriptions of your aftermarket exhaust, loudness, pitch, decel burble, drone, deepness, etc... Also if you lucky enough to have heard several different exhausts for the 05, please post the differences you notice in each.

Here are the soundclips and from who's posts I got them from:

**Update: After driving around through the 'break in period', the exhaust has gotten A LOT deeper, and the hint of Trumpeting/Drone is almost completely gone. In addition, the system is definitely louder then in the video...but that kind of goes unsaid when comparing video sound quality to real life**

Nice clip!
Recently installed OBX L/T's on mine with the mid-muffler setup. It was a bit too much for me & I ended up re-installing my GTA's. It was mean though with the mid-mufflers.

2kanchoo 1/15/08 06:12 PM

frpp shorties, frpp x-pipe and flowmaster mufflers. About a 2000 rpm rev then a 4000 rpm rev. (you might need to turn your speakers up)

Outside

Sounds pretty **** good. How's the drone with these puppies, and overall volume. I was wondering how the flowmasters would sound with the FRPP X-pipe. Also which flowmaster mufflers do you have exactly?

08 GT/CS 1/15/08 10:23 PM

I'm liking the sound of the Hookers for my 08 GT/CS, any drone??

Thx

Thanks. Flowmaster american thunder. They are mid range volume. The headers made it a bit louder. The drone isn't bad. Unless you're doing like 35-40mph in 5th gear. Then you're at like 1200 rpms and when you step on the gas it drones. I just dont do that haha.

Starfire 1/19/08 02:15 PM

Yeah has anyone tried the Hooker axel backs? It says there are drone free, but I really want to hear a clip of just the axel backs.

The Hooker Aerochambers are neat as hell

MTAS has run them on his 05 with a Prochamber (with stock cats) for years and it sound phenominal - low deep and mean

I just recently swapped out my Corsas for a pair of Aerochambers that I had stored in the garage as a sound experiment with my MRT high flow catted H and I am liking them better.

Don't have a clip handy but I'll see if I can get you one.

SlamMan02 1/19/08 08:33 PM

Ive heard Aerochambers on a 2V and they sounded sick as hell! Im not sure how they sound on the new mustangs but if Burke likes them they must me good! haha

ufnavy06 1/21/08 08:22 AM

I got the MAC headers and the prochambers on my car with the Flowmaster AT and I'm pretty happy with the way the car sounds, especially at the lower rpms. It'll shake the car idling.

08 GT/CS 1/21/08 09:41 PM

Thanks Burke0011, a clip would be great. I had a set on a '79 and a late model Z28 with an offroad, really cool sound at WOT

Still waiting on that clip!

I haven't seen this yet so I thought I would add my SLP Power Flo Axle backs to the forum.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFtVXSe-xbE

I love the way they sound. Loud and deep. Only drawback is the drone from 1800-2200 but its not a deal breaker.

07 csstang 3/20/08 06:08 PM

Hey all, just a note. I have GT/CS 07 redfire. Added BORLA stainless steel catback exhaulst with BORLA X-pipe. I have turned heads going down the road. The BORLA x pipe was $279 by itself but makes all the difference. Gave $1150 for the whole set up and worth every penny. Dont have sound clip but sure you can find one on you tube. Selling original H pipe cat back factory exhaulst if anyone is enterested

Silly for asking, I have an 08 GT convert due next week, having Roush SC and off road exhaust put on, I have yet to hear anything about Roush exhaust, anyone know how it is?
