Adding IUP parts.

Would like to have Shaker 500, any way to add those parts?

Ok, what i'm asking, is what would be the parts that you would/should do? Also let me know if any of the parts aren't compatible together.

Total is around $37k with all of those parts, i'm looking for around $33,000-$33,500, including installation. (with car, total)

Ok, guess that is it for now.

Is the dealer selling and installing these parts? What dealer is that then? And where did you find the Street Scene kit for 875?

Sort-of. They are Steeda and Roush authorized, and do some custom installations at the owner's request. I'm not sure how much they'll do that Steeda or Roush doesn't sell though. Brandon Ford. Steeda sells it for $875 for the GT model.

Are you planning on keeping any of the stock parts on the car?

I'd love to help, but that's just way too much reading. Brain overload

Yeah...I think the steering wheel looks fine stock...

Just kidding.

There really isn't a whole lot there when you read over it...most of it is handling modifications that you can't see.

Just so you know, those wheels are gonna be way to small, 255/35-18 is considerably smaller than 255/55-17

69 vs 63,5 cm in height equals 5,5 cm in height difference
= screwed up tacho....

I'm considering some different parts now...

Xenon front bumper (not concept-bumper) or CDC aggresive chin spoiler

Not sure on what side skirts or rear to go with...any suggestions?

Cervini's or Steeda hood

Thinking of Tokico shocks with Eibach or Steeda springs.

Borla stinger exhaust

Ford Racing intake

Still looking and deciding on other things.

So you are purchasing a 06 GT and having the dealer install those parts and financing the whole deal? Im not really sure what you are doing here.

You have about $10,000+ worth of parts there and its going to cost another $10,000 to have all that installed, painted, etc.

Dont think you are getting a bit overboard with your car already? We all have our list of things that we want to do but thats one insane list.

What do you want to do with your car anyways? You should probably think this through a bit more before making a list.

For instance, Im building a street/strip vehicle so that places more mods on the engine and the rear end than anywhere else on the vehicle. The front end needs very little in the way of modifications because I wont be out road racing my Mustang.

That list looks like you are planning to put your ride through the paces on a road course. If you are not, thats quite a waste of money unless you really have a ton of it.

Lastly, your warranty is definitely voided since anything that goes wrong wont be covered by Ford, you are trading out your powertrain for $%#& sake. Just buy a Steeda Q stage 3 or whatever and dont even worry about having anything installed and perfectly good parts thrown away.

Thats a BIG load of mods.

The dealer's price is very reasonable. I was in high $30's with all my stuff for my car. And thats only talking MSRP!

Right.

Right, which is why i'm trying to figure out what I need to get and what I don't need to get (well, I don't need any of it ).

I've thought about what I want to do with my car, but, applying it to the Mustang is a little different.

Well, Brandon Ford covers the installed parts. Besides, nothing will happen anyway.

I was going to get a Steeda Q...but there are some other parts that I would rather have instead.

If you go with tires that are that small in front, combined with lowering springs, and potentially an aftermarket front bumper, you are going to be rubbing on the ground all the time in the front, and I wish the best of luck to you getting over any speed bump. Go with the same diameter tires all around, or if you wanna have a taller tire in the rear, go with stock hieght in the front, and a taller in the rear.

The dealership may not be able to cover your warranty because they do not control what Ford will or will not cover when it comes to warranty work being approved.

What are you planning to do with this car?

I would just get the car first, and go slow with the mods. There is no guarantee that you will enjoy the car with all of those parts on it. Drive it stock to appreciate what the Ford engineers have done with it, and then go from there. You may not like what all of those things do for you. It's not a good idea to finance all of that stuff anyways.

Right, but the dealership will fix the problem if a problem arises. It's their choice whether or not they want to install aftermarket parts and warranty them. Besides, I can always bring up the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act.

First of all you need to decide what you want out of the car. If it is just a daily driver, just focus on the stuff that you will enjoy on a daily basis (exhaust, springs/dampers, gears, wheels, shifter, exterior cosmetics). That alone will probably take you to your spending limit. Most of the suspension stuff you won't notice anyway on a daily basis and the brakes are certianly an overkill.

Then, you can start adding the other stuff as you go.

My phase I list would look something like this:

Eibach Pro-kit springs
Tokico D-Spec dampers
Sway Bars
Exhaust
Shifter
Gears
BBK throttle body and CAI
SCT + tune
Wheels/tires (something other than the me-too Bullits)
body kit (if there is still money left over)

That would take you pretty close, if not over your budget, yet also give you a much better car than stock.

Just my $0.02.
