Have not been able to verify yet but it's posted on other sites. Lidio from Alternative Auto ran 12.92 @106.50 on regular radial tires at the NMRA race over the weekend. This is the one I was talking about for the auto guys. Hope it is true. Mods listed were C&L, sct tune, IMRC delete, and underdrive pulley swap. There is another one I think not listed but you can give him a call. I am.

Sounds like a great run! IMRC? (Is this referring to the spacers replacing the charge motion plates?) Also, Scott, just curious why your car is not making a little more power with a 93 tune?

Tks,

Paul

I was wondering the same. I ran 103.25 with a 87 down loaded tune. But went in for the dyno test and set my 93 tune that I had for a few days back to factory for 2 pulls. Then downloaded the 93. Made 1 pull the tried an adjustment. Must of missed :nono: . We ran 4 pulls in 23 min. I still feel like that hurt some. But my mistake was going 2% more timing and went 2% leaner. I think that is where it is at. Ran 13:2 a/f. Been wanting to post but the graph has the darn words at the top. There was 1 more big thing that hurt. It was making good numbers upward until that 5200 crash caused by the converter unlocking or locking. It dropped the graph 10hp and stayed flat after that. It even changed the tone of the motor and dyno could show it very easy. No big deal , heading right back next weekend. SW

I saw him run that. That was the auto I was mentioning around here that had a wire running into the cab to change the converter. I was talking with him about it for awhile, but didn't really retain much due to not owning an auto. I was really interested in his SCT tuning capabilities. I apologize for not retaining more info for the others here that are interested.

I am calling wednesday per his request. That IMRC is the motion plates that steeda sells I think? If it is it gives some power in the upper rpm I think?

Yes-the IRMC is the charge motion plates. The originals have flaps that open and close sort of like what's in the top of a carburator. I've heard pro's and con's to the these. Some performance shops don't like them and those that sell them say their great. I saw another 05 with similiar mods to mine only gain a total of 10rwhp with the addition of an exhaust and the IRMC. FOR ME, the HP cost is too much and I haven't seen any staggering numbers with them.

Charge Motion Plates extends the HP curve in mid to upper range.
And add a bit lower end torque.

Thanks Scott, I would have guessed 278 or around there. Wonder if Lido could shed some light on what's the happs with 5200 on the dyno with the automatics?
Good luck next weekend! Mines set right at 13 a/f, by the way.

I can tell you only that I saw the wire running through the passenger side firewall and up to just behind the headlight-still on the passenger side. He mentioned that he felt bad or that it didn't seem right to run a bare wire the way he did.
