15" wheels on a 05 up GT

I want to run 15" wheels on my 08. I don't want bogarts. I would like to have weld prostars. I think they will hit the brakes. I don't have any to try. Could I run a 1/2 or 1/4 spacer on the rear so they will clear? If I did I would run a 3" lug stud. On the front could I run a 3.5 with a 1" adapter? Just ideas?

Anybody know how to run 15's without spending 1600.00 on bogarts?

You will need rear sway bar relocation brackets. BMR Fabrication sells these brackets. As for the front, if you plan on using skinny wheels then you wouldn't need to change anything as far as I know for the new rims to fit properly.

Thanks. What wheels will clear the rear brakes? I know the Centerline Telstars won't clear the brake caliper. Do I grind it down? I would really like not to grind it down. Would welds clear?

They weigh less, tires cost less and I love the way they look on the car. I want to put a 3" cowl hood, 15x3.5 in the front and 15x 8.5 or 10's in the rear. Mainly want to make it look fast. I also want it to fast N/A and I want all the weigh drop I can get.

Skinnes and all will help drop weight and they do look great, but your handling will be drastically reduced, as well as your ability to stop fast, and also if your rear end ever gets loose on the street, good luck.

You are correct.

I had a 88 coupe with full drag suspension with skinnies on front and drag radials on the rear. I drove it for 2 years back and forth on the street basicly every day. Untill I had my little boy then I sold it. I need A/C for him. I have this car and I want it ro run the same as the coupe or close. It ran 7.70's (1/8th mile) N/A. I put a 175 shot on it and I couldn't get it to hook out of the hole it ran low 7's spinning but the MPH was 103 in the 1/8. My best 60 ft on the spray was 2.4 and the best N/A was 1.6. I drove it all the time. I love it.
