Just got back from the Track. My 06 GT ran a best of 13.73@101mph. The first run was a 13.89@100.17 which I was very happy with. I was expecting a low 14 in the high 90s. The second was the 13.73@101.39. The third was a 13.93 @100.00. I left the traction control on and manually shifted from 1st-3rd. The Car bogs off of the line until about 3500 rpm and then really pulls hard. The only mods so far is a CAI from C&L. I ran 87 octane. 60' were in the 2.15 range.

Why in the world did you leave traction control on? Turn it off!!!!!!!

That's why you car was bogging off the line

I turned if off for one run. It didnt make a difference since the track was hooking very well and the car didnt spin. The only time my traction control comes on is when the car loses traction.

Gixx, is that an auto tranny? (If it's a manual, ignore the rest of this post).

We auto guys are stuck with the sub-3500 problem. Try powerbraking it to launch. Also, my low end improved dramatically when I got Doug's (BamaChips) torq management tune.

Oh yeah... don't manually shift... you can't do it any better than the computer (and you won't hit the rev limiter in "D").

And pretty good times for basically stock!!

Yes it's a Auto. I'll try Power Braking on Wednesday. Any other tips? I just ordered a set of 3.73 gears,Flowmaster axle back mufflers,JBA long tube headers and a delete plate kit. Alos going to get an electric water pump, dual 65mm throttle body and underdrive pulleys

Nice set of mods!!

But IMO, go with 4.10s instead of 3.73s, and forget the TB. Use that money for drag tires... you will need them!! Oh and get a good 91 or 93 octane tune!!

My plans are to add a Supercharger later so I think the 3.73s will do. Why do you thin the Throttle body is a waste?

I will be going SC myself... time will tell if 4.10s are too much I guess.

Re: TBs. No one has reported any real gains with one on a N/A engine. Here are a couple threads... both with similar results:

I would really like Twin Turbos but the kits arent out yet for the 05 and 06 stangs. Maybe I will wait on the TB and get some Drag Radials

I was going to say the same thing. With 4.10s and tires you'll be running 12.70s. I think the charge motion delete plates are a waste too.

Dynos arent real world. Test at the track to see if something works. The Dual 65mm Throttle bodies make work there.

See posts #8 and #15 on this thread: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index....pic=38313&st=0

Unless I see overwhelming evidence from others that a new TB works much better, I won't have one on my wish list (at least not until the SC goes on )

I agree 100% it's just that I have bored a set of throttle bodies before and installed a set of Stainless steel Blades. It showed very little gain on the dyno but picked up 3 mph on the track. There are too many variables to deal with. The Dual 62s may work well with port work and cams.
