Who here are running in the mid/hi 12's and what basic mods did you use to get there? I already have a CAI/Race tune from Doug and Violator mufflers. My best is ET 13.3's at 104 MPH on the stock tires. Would a few more basic mods like an aluminum driveshaft, delete plates, drag radials and practice launching seal the deal?
My best 60 ft. is a 2.01 but 2.08-2.20's is the norm. i bet with some practice I could pull some 1.8's with drag radials.I may get two takeoff wheels and mount some Nittos before I get the driveshaft.

Yep - I only have a couple minor mods other than what you have and with a buddy's set of drag radials ran a 12.88 with a 1.81 time at 60 feet. Without the drag radials (on Falken 452s - 285 out back), I had two other runs on the same day, and they were 13.11 and 13.23. That was last winter in nice cool weather - around 65 degrees.
I believe with the popular bolt on stuff, traction, and suspension mods, high 12's is easy and mid 12's are certainly possible. Low 12's are not a given staying naturally aspirated, but are certainly possible if you spend a lot of cash.
Why not just buy a blower and be done? For someone looking for a straightforward, easy way to get to the low to mid 12's, there are some basic/inexpensive blowers out there that will do the trick without any other modifications to the car (other than traction).
Spend for a bigger blower, and 11's or 10's are easy. But, for those who just want 12's, a basic non-intercooled blower will do it.

That new Edelbrock supercharger looks promising but I will be waiting until prices come down. So realistically thats atleast 2-3 years away. I might have 10K miles on it by then so their sohuldn't be any problems with the old 4.6 being wornout. Never know when a costly home repair may creep up or one of the other vehicles may need something fixed so I will be hoarding $$$$ in the secret war chest for a while. For now a consistant mid/high 12 sec. car with basic bolt ons will satisfy me for now.

I ran a 12.68, and backed it with a 12.71 (1.85 and 1.89 60 ft).
CAI
Bama 93R Tune
LT and O/R H
UDP
DR
I have a best of 13.3 on street tires. With 2.0X 60ft says you can drive, so some traction will get you there.
What was the weather like when you ran?

Drag radials will honestly put you there. I ran what I have in my sig with JLT/93 tune, H-pipe, UDP and DRs. I probably could've done better but I only had 3 runs and it was my first time using DRs. Its not hard, find your launch point and nail it.
If you're going to buy dedicated rims to use just at the track I recommend staying away from the radials and getting a biasply tire, you'll gain an extra .1 off your time. I use the Mickey Thompson 3743 ET Streets. Basically it's a slick with a couple grooves cut into them to make them street legal. Inflate them to 13 psi and have at it. It's like driving with marshmallows on your rims but you're only going in a straight line. Don't take any hard corners. Make sure you do a little burnout to warm them up. I launch at 5500 rpms. You shouldn't need 4.10s to get into the 12s.
The cheapest way to get into 12s is:
JLT intake/93 tune (500)
OBX long tubes from ebay (500)
Steeda pullies(200)
Tires (500)
that's all you need to pull off a 12.7. Look here for proof http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=474602
