To 05' Roush or 06' GT premium tis the question?
Hey guys,
I've been doing some research and found that my local Roush dealer has a load of these 05's sitting on the lot. Well they have one that is very close to what i'm looking for but it has some short comings. One all Roush GT's are Sport package, not premium. It is a White automatic but it has black leather interior instead of Red like I'm wanting as well.
I've got a 06' White GT located and priced to me for $5,000 less then the Roush but at the same time I've only called the Roush dealer, I'm sure I can get the price down another $2500 if I go in person so pricing isn't the big holdup for me.
Plus Minus
06 GT 05 GT Roush
Roush Standard GT 06'
Sport packagew/o IUP w/Roush Premium w/IUP w/GT
Body kit installed and painted w/roush Additional cost for body kitw/GT
Red Leather w/GT Black Leather w/Roush
Exhaust w/Roush Additonal w/GT
For the body kit and the exhaust alone I can easily justify the extra cost of the Roush package. I guess the biggest thing holding me back is the year model of the Roush and the interior color.
What are your opinions? This car will be for SCT testing purposes and car shows so value and appeal has a good deal to do with this.
Thanks, Doug

Sorry to hijack your thread Doug, but I have a question for ya. I just installed the JLT & SCT X2 91 oct tune by DTP on my car. I love it, but im itching to get your 93 tune. I originally wanted to buy the SCT from you but you had to leave for Katrina, and I was impatient and didn't want to wait.
How do I come about getting the tunes for the JLT CAI from you? I'm new to this stuff so help me out. Thanks in advance.

What a dilemma..... Just personal opinions/thoughts here:
I would get final pricing on both vehicles before I made a final decision. It's still amazing how greedy some dealers still are on these cars. I think Brad recommends a guy named John Neal out at Town & Country Ford, you may want to check with Brad.
I wouldn't be all that concerned about the model year difference myself. I would get what I want/like and not compromise on those items.
Do you like the mods of the Roush or if you were doing them, would you select a different style, look, etc. You inquired in a previous post about a functional hood, if you still intend on modding along those lines, the hood will have to be replaced in either car, depending on the Roush kit installed, would you be removing something you paid extra for?
Personally, I like some of the Roush mods OK, some I don't like, I'm not a real fan of the Roush dash treatment but I do like the white gauges.
The Roush would be worth more down the road on resale I would think.
I must say I love my GT Premium with ICAP and IUP.
Good Luck with your decisions Doug, this one's got to be tough.

I do really like the look of the Roush but I just dont understand why they dont have the premium interiors. Then again I wouldn't like a White Roush at all. Does it actually have the Roush wheels or does it have the Bullet style? Stage 1,2,3?
I'd get the '06. The interior color of your choice and the opportunity to pick and install your own mods is worth it.
However, I don't think the IUP is worth it. I ordered it on mine but ended up buying off the lot without IUP and I don't miss it much at all.

I agree, I have a performance white with red leather seats, and I always get the same reaction from people when I open the door... "WOW, that's red! It looks so good!"
You won't regret it...

I like my STG1, not the sport model with bullit wheels, thats a poser in my book lol
.
If Its either a STG1 or 2, Id go with that....iif its a sport, go for the 06' the way u want it.
BTW..whats wrong with white guys ??

05stg1, that was a low blow with the poser comment....
Actually, I purchased the sport because I wanted to put on my own wheels and not pay more for the 18'' roush wheels (which were the same as used on the previous platform).

Ouch, Im sorry Justin, your right. Thats was phrased wrong. I feel that all ROUSH's should come with the wheels, thats what sold me on it.
Sorry bro, no harm meant
