Where are you guys finding gears for the 2005 Mustang GT? I'm looking for 4.10's, so far I've only been able to find them for up to 2004. They don't have the same spline do they??

Links?

glad to see the hunt for the 4.10's but my advise would be to purchase from the installing shop if possible, makes them happy and supports the local economy as well. sure is nice to have the local speed shop there to help out so help them as well if you can...
They should be able to get you pricing "close" to a big internet mail order places like Jegs or Summit but remember you will also need an install kit to get the needed shims and a replacement pinion seal as well as crush collar...they can supply them as wel

Ford racing gears come with the install stuff hence the higher price (good $$ deal)

the spline you speak of is the 31 spline axles(upgraded from the 28 of so many years)
this has no bearing on your gear purchase, all 8.8 gear sets fit the 05
PM me if you have any questions...
Happy Motoring

Ford Racing has them, and I believe someon on here is selling them for 190 plus shipping, they are brand new, they warrantied a bad set, and gave him a new set, but while waiting for them he bought them from steeda. he paid I think 250 for them, and they are brand new , no flaws.

Oh yah here is the link if interested.

the '05 just has a plain jane 8.8 rear end. If someone told you that the '05 needs special gears, they are sorely mistaken.

Ok guys, cool! That was my big question. I've found 8.8" 4.10's, but that 31 spline might have had something to do with the driveshaft causing the pinion gear to not fit.

Thanks for the info.

nope, the 31 spline axle won't have anything to do w/ the drive shaft, or the pinion gear not to fit
an 8.8 is an 8.8 inch ring gear, the will work the same from the mid 80's to 05.
