For those who have this exhaust, this is a good representation.....
However its about 2/3 of what you get when you listen to it up close.

You don't get that low end and volume ....but it'll give you an idea.

Sounds really good.....though I feel like a lot is being lost in the recording. Pete, I HAVE to hear this in person. From the MP3 the stock sounds more growley but I'm not sure if that is the case.

The borla is definately deeper though. Doesn't sound that loud on the MP3, but its probably louder in person.

Won't order it based on the clip though......you need to take me for a boot.

Just like anything, trust me....listen to stock recordings and then listen to that...you can tell...something is ALWAYS lost in translation.

It is lower, it has more growl, and a tad more refined...not much, but it has that borla touch (you know what I'm talkin about...you had borla)

Like I said, when we're both free (possibly the first weekend of May or something) we'll get together and do some recordings of stock vs. borla for the site as well.

 

Can anyone tell me how the Stingers compare to the XR-1's? Is the sound similar, or are the S-types quieter?

 

Hard to say since that clip sounds like it won't do it justice at all.
