What's your most ridiculous challenge?
So I've had my Mustang for 5 days now. Nobody has done the "challenge" until tonight.
I was shaking in my boots... the fear gripped me... I look over and what do I see revving it's engine at me while rolling down the road...
An 88' Toyota Camry... Stock!
:notnice:
I'm sure he just wanted to see me stretch it's legs, but I wasn't going to oblige. I just laughed real hard and shook my head.

Most ridiculous I've gotten are fat rich housewives in their expensive SUVs getting mad at me for passing them on the highway (because no one passes THEM, even if they're going 60 MPH in the left lane) and trying to overtake me. Just a twitch of the peddle and I'm off. B)
No Civic fly-bys yet?????????????????
How much you wanna bet it will be at the most inopportune moment too.
Kinda like this kid, even if he WAS something to play with, I wouldn't have... conditions were far from safe in the middle of traffic like we were.
Well the most rediculous challenge I've ever had was against a 9 second Vega, (seen it race before it met me on the street) sporting big hiney slicks and a 671 blower sticking through the hood.
Didn't understand why he would want to race a stock looking mustang, but I decided to back down as I'd imagine it would have been ugly..

They are all weak challenges so far, a STi, a 350Z, a G35, several Z28s, a 745, and tonight an Anniversary Edition Mustang GT, all pieces of cake. The only good challenge I've had was that modded Z28. It seems like there is nothing that really matches up well against this GT evenly, they are either way slower or way faster. Haven't had anything faster try me yet though.
EDIT: They guy tonight in the Mustang tried the sneak up flyby manuever that the ricers have perfected on his third attempt. Seemed like he gave up finally as he caught up at the light I was waiting for him at and as he rolled by slowly, he gunned it, so I had to shut him down. It was a nice try though.

I had a really riced out KIA try to race me through the Galleria are of houston this past weekend on my way to my Mustang Club of Houston meeting. HAHA Kinda looked like a neon but it had this insanely tall wing, white faced gauge pod, and low profile tires....his coffee can exhaust farted a few times at me as I was next to him.....I just smiled and saved the 1.00 in gas it would have taken to make him go away for good....dumbest looking car I've ever allowed to survive......LOL

Several vans, one explorer and one angry navigator who was not aware how to use the acceleration lane on the interstate........

had some young punk in his parents celebrity trying to impress his girlfriend. However, the best is one that I posted earlier.
I was sitting at a red light. A Sonic Blue v6 pulled up next to me with dealer plates on it. The guy is looking at me and is reving his engine. I rolled down my window and while laughing I said "Do you really think a V6 is going to beat a modded GT" to which his girlfriend said "but the v6 is faster" and looked at her boyfriend with a confused look. I told them "good luck, the 2 of you were made for each other". The light turned green, he gave it some gas and I quickly showed him what the back end of a GT looks like as it fades off in the distance

How do you figure? Car & Driver lists the 0-60 for the STi as 5.1 seconds. And had this quote:
Despite the obsessive reductions, our tester weighed just 116 fewer pounds than the lightest WRX we've measured. Still, with the extra power and more closely spaced gearing, the STi Type RA Spec C rips to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. That's almost a second faster than most WRXs we've tested (we made a 5.4-second run in a standard WRX, but others have been in the 5.8-to-5.9-second range). The Type RA Spec C is as quick as a Mustang Mach 1 and quicker, by a few 10ths, than the Nissan 350Z.
Sure do Roger....head to GT performance and you'll find a topic that says dyno, exhaust, etc. vids......you can check out the clips in there! LMK what ya think after ya hear them all....We did some burnouts, takeoffs, idles, etc.....

The STI and the z28s (if they were ls1) should have been faster. Of course if they were LT1 z28's you should be a little faster. The STI is out of your league, the regular WRX is what you should be lookin for.

You are quoting numbers from a old japanese spec STI. It oly had 270HP and diffrent gearing. A Amreican STI is 300hp and all wheel drive. An American STI can sprint to 60 in well under 5 seconds. An STI can run the 1/4 in the high 12's. By the way, I hate the WRX's but there is no way you can call them a weak challange.

Well, if you are going to go on mag tests, go on a test of the right car.
