yeah these re the two best new ford deals around here. i havnt seen color r any other options, it was in an ad in the paper so bear with me.

-the F-150 is appealing because i like F150s and its got a V8 and its cheaper and i can haul stuff. what i will haul, i dont know (other than hiney) but i do know that if i get this, ill be able to haul it

-the F150 is un appealing b/c its an auto. and, since its a truck it has the shifter behind the wheel. and i hate that

-the 05 mustang is appealing cuz its actually a 5spd (hard to find round here) and well, its a mustang. need i say more? theres also more stuff i can do visually to it, which is a hefty part of my decision

-the 05 is unappealing b/c it has less power, and it costs more, i cant haul stuff

-the 99 is appelaing manly cuz of price. and that its been modded with real dual exhast (not a one into two, but an all out two pipe setup)

-the 99 is unappealing b/c its an auto and has even less power than an 05 V6

well thats my situation right now. just wondering wat most ppl think these are the only cars i can really consider right now, unless i want like a taurus or somthing economical n FWD which is a fat NO!
help a brutha out thx for any input.

also, does anyone know if performance parts for 4.0L SOHC rangers will fit the 05 V6? like a throttlebody spacer or anything?

aftermarket support is another thing that weighs greatly in my decision...

hey man, I'd take the truck, dependable car, and the 5.4 triton is sweet. if you ever shift low gear to high gear with the column shifter, its so much cooler than you think it is, my uncle hot rods in his 78 F-150 with that column shifter, its pretty cool!stick with the V8 man! up to you though

I voted for the truck. But all choices are pretty darn good. I had a Pinto and a Taurus in High School.

i dont know either, but stuff happens. i remember one time my mom bought this table or somthing n she thought it would fit in her car. it didnt so we had to wait an hour for one of our relatives to get off work and lend us his van. n even then it barely fit. i also like F150s aesthetically, and the roar of a trition V8 is beautiful....

but i am leaning towards the V6. hopefully i can get it n then import those Cosworth heads.... 300hp in a V6, supposedly

I haven't voted yet because I have a question.
With your price range, why aren't you looking into used GT's?
I would think you could get into one for the price you are looking to spend.

to clarify, the only reason is that right now i cant find one in Comp Orange. at a reasonable price. i can only find used SN95 V6s in Comp Orange, n still they're like $16k cuz there all 04s. its wierd. i was even looking for a mach for a while, but those are still in the 20s

trust me, if i could find one in either Comp Orange, or gold (yes i've seen some) or torch red (or something similiar, non meatillic red) i'd be all over it. i just listed these cuz they're nearby and convinient. sadly i cant really travel too far to find a car...

If I were you I would try to find a GT, a motivated seller may work with you on a delivary point that works for you. I say this because in your first post you already sound like you will be dissatisfied with the power of the two mustang V6s.
But out of your choices I would have to go with the truck, there are some cool mods you can do to it and it is extemely flexible. At your age that might be a good thing. (with moving away from home in your near future I would assume) I also think the truck may hold it's value better than the other two.
This is all of course just my opinion, do what works for ya.

the only powerplant im "dissatisfied" with is really the 99 3.8. the prime reason the car is on the list ne ways is really just the price.

the 4.0L is nice, and it has plenty of torque, which i really like.

the 5.4L is better, but i dont think i'll have that same feeling of spped in a truck, due to the weight.

right now, it looks like i might go with the 05 V6
and another reason im not going with a SN95 V8 is that even when i find one i like, the price is still perdy high, and its often a private seller who wont offer financing. financing is a MUST for us...

EDIT: and theres also that recall on ford trucks n SUVs. but i think that was just with cruise control. and unless thats standard equip, im not too worried, cuz this things prertty much base.

where do u get a 5.4 that cheap? i voted truck. The 04-05 F-150 has a automatic on the floor option. I like it on the column because it is fun to go down the road and slam it into second or first.

05 V6, no question. You'll get the looks and 200 horses is still pretty powerful. Plus if you get a truck people will start to call and ask to borrow it. It kinda gets old after a while.
