I'm getting exhausted watching all the 05 post and wonder who is giving up their current cars for the 05 GT. The way the forum looks I'm wondering who is going to keep their current Mustang. It's nuts. Looking forward to the results.

Ditto. I was going to fix my cars problem areas but just thought it'd be cheaper to get an 01-04 and get a newer car to boot. I'm getting back in December so the lots should be starting to fill up with used Mustangs then.

Because I put this in the 94-04 Forum and most of the people I see in the 05 Forum own Mustangs from this time period. Sorry about that.

Yup! Keepin the 03 v6 even when I do get a newer, faster V8 mustang (gt/cobra???). This one's a keeper as it holds some sentimental value to me since it is THE FIRST MUSTANG I HAD EVER BOUGHT (not my first stang though, which was an 87 5.0 LX which was severly beaten to death during high school ) and also for economical reasons (still will be my daily driver even with my new stang).

Till then, when I do get my new stang......I do plan to do some extensive mods to her in the meantime.

I sold a 2000 V6 instead of trading. Waiting patiently for my 05. But hey, its closer than it was back in May.

I have two choices:

Give up my wife's 1994 Acura Integra and get a GT w/ auto so she can drive it...

or:

Give up my handy 2001 F-150 XLT V8 and get a GT w/5-speed...

Let's see now....

Give up the Acura, trucks are just too convenient for around the house and for those Lowe's/Home Depot trips!

Hmmm...I like that Turbo idea...it IS out of warranty now......

So I will keep the truck, sell the Wife's '94 Integra (only 25k miles)...

She might drive the new Mustang GT once every two weeks, and wants
to give up her car and pay $125 towards the payment each month....
an offer I just can't refuse

I traded my '01 GT in on an '03 Mach 1, Torch Red, had problems with it, Ford bought it back, now have an '04 Mach 1 , Azure Blue, 5sp. and I'm more than happy with it and so is my wife. She hates the grille on the '05 GT's, plus the pricing and financing was much better on the Mach's. Sorry '05 fans, but the car doesn't do anything for me. Years ago I had a '66 coupe, '68 Fastback and a '69 Fastback, so it's not that I don't like the styling, just that the Mach looks so much more menacing. Love that Shaker scoop.

By the way, you left off '03 - '04 Mach 1's and '01 Bullitt's
