Alright, i'm bored and was wondering- The new mustang seems to draw heads, and people sometimes want to challenge it. Anyone have any good storys of how the new v6 stands up against fellow cars on the road?

Sofar I have been in a couple races, here are some....

BMW 325i-you would think for all the money they would put more than 190hp in those things, this was a 99 model or so, got em pretty good

Civic thing? Yeah, a ricer with a fear this sticker on his window, first he peeled out and went and I wasn't expecting it, but fate had it that we get stopped at another light and I got em pretty good

Fox body 5.0 mustang-AWESOME race!!! You have to know the area we were in, real curvy road right after a light, I got him after the light went green and slowly pulled but then we hit the curves, hard to say how I would stand up in a 1/4mile race, but this one was fun Gotta say though this guys car sounded awesome when he hit it :headbang:

Friends Grand prix gtp- These things are no joke, supercharged at 240hp 280tq, but fwd and still a 4 door sedan. Got him off the line by about a car length and was looking good but he caught up quick and passed at around 50 or 60ish. This was the first week I had the car though (and the first week of learning manual!) so I think I can take him with a couple mods.

Only mod I have are gt takeoffs, next mod is C&L and SCT2 but need the money

So lets hear what you got, i'm bored!

Also don't be afraid to tell when you get slammed, I was at a light with a newer vette, not pretty haha, I knew I didn't stand a chance and I honestly just wanted to see what he had

I'm not big on racing, but I have had a few people challenge me. Not to mention the cops to civilians ratio around here seems like its 3-1

A Ford Ranger- didn't even bother

a red Cobra (2000-ish)- Saw a pair of headlights coming up fast so I got in the right lane to let him pass, he slowed down even with me and revved a few times before he stomped on it, but a red light caught him and I had to turn off the road anyway

some type of Mercedes (wasn't really paying attention)- I had to get in his lane in a very short distance so I floored it at the light not intending to race, but he stayed even with me and I had to let up and get behind him before my lane ended

Not very exciting but I was never even challenged in my last car... so there ya go

My favorite story was this time me and a buddy driving home from the mall one day and we see this cobra going the other way and he totally gave me a stare down like he wanted to kill me. I just laughed and drove to the freeway. As i was crusin in the left lane I see this car coming up fast and lo and behold it was the same cobra. He punches it and just for kicks I stepped on it. It seemed like i wasnt even moving lol. He slowed down and this is the good part, he takes both hands of the whell and fans out what must have been about 3000 in 100 dollar bills. Well now my friend was intrigued since he happens to be the driver of the 800 hp supra, he made me follow him and he set up a race for later that week with the guy who thought his car was gods gift to man. Well long story short he got his hiney handed to him and lost a third of that stack of bills. Good times.

Total: about probably 15 races, usually shutting down around 65-70. I've gotten pretty good at launching from lights.

I've not bothered to try to initiate a race with anyone, the BMW race kind of escalated into a race out of a toll booth (we both go through at the exact same time, it was odd). Point being I know what I can and can't do and am not really hurtinng to 'prove myself' to the big boys, yet. Hoping to be SC'd or TC'd in the next 6-8 months.

i beat my own 2001 gt lol. Ive beat numorous civics, including one hatchback with nitrous. At the track ive taken down a wrx in the quarter, a 76'ish corvette, TONS of imports, a 97 gt, an 03 gt (hopin it was an auto, cuz i beat him by over half a second).

Losses are many, because i dont back from anything, including a gsxr1000 lol. raced an 05 gt (slight mods) at the track and he beat me by 1.5 second lol.

My favorite was the 97 gt. It was a manual, and he had headers and exhaust on it. And since it was at the track, he couldnt say i jumped, or anything, fair is fair.

I too hope to have my warranty null and void in the next 6 months lol

Alright.. lol i was heading back from a concert & this guy flys up on my rear and wants to play cat & mouse.. we'll i decided to be the mouse and just go.. So i Push the odometer to 95 thinking that he would have some difficutly.. we'll about 30 seconds later i see him catching up so mash the pedal to the floor.. I'm doing 110 in a 55 and we'll since my car is stock m chip is still installed so if i try to go anything above 110 my car will shut off 10 seconds later.. this guy passes me doing like 130 no joke.. But one of my buddies who was with me recongized the car & said that it wasn't no where near stock that it has several wins under the hood.. I remember one race was 5k so.. i dunno
