Nice find. I'm glad someone has finally did a comparison to prove a point that I've been trying to make for six months... BTW, My point is... 41k for a GT500... probably worth it . 75K... no way . Go build your own, or buy a Roush S3 that, IMO, is better a car anyway.

Thats' great, but just to play devil's advocate, they didn't touch the GTs internals. A simple pulley swap and retune would put the Shelby ahead again - at least performance-wise.

GT500 also have 400 lbs more to stop and the GT also had better then stock tires which would also help brakeing.

Well sounds like they never got the tune right on the GT, and the 1/4 mile times seem kinda slow all around

hi knight,

i thought the GT500 with 14" brakes would more than make up for the 400lbs extra.

this test makes me feel good about my stock 12.5" brakes. now i'm going to upgrade to hawk pads and steel lines.
